AIRBLAST AFC - Blast Booth Contianer

General Description: Blast booth will be a totally transportable adaptation of a weather-proof shipping container. Blast
booth walls will be rubber lined for sound attenuation and to protect the surface. Also, the entire blast booth floor will be
covered in 1⁄4” steel plate to protect the surface. Equipment shall include a blast booth enclosure, abrasive reclaim system,
integrated dust collection module, and control panel. Blast booth will be designed for a single operator.
Product Doors: Product doors are included at one end (approximately 8'w x 8' h)
as well as on one side wall (approximately 15' w x 8' h).
Ventilation: Blast booth shall be designed for end-to-end ventilation. Air shall flow from baffled intake plenum in ceiling at
one end, through the working area and into cartridge filter modules at the opposite end of the booth. Ventilation design
shall be for 50-60 feet per minute. Our cross flow high entry inlet is designed for optimized air and material distribution.
Light Fixtures: Eight (8) purpose-built blast booth LED light fixtures are positioned at the eaves of the booth, angled at 45-
degrees into the facility.
Abrasive Recovery System: Vaculift unit located above the blast machine recovers media from the floor hopper built into
blast room when the blast cycle is complete. An air wash, powered by the powerful dust collection module, is used to
separate dust and debris from clean abrasive, which is then returned to the blast pot or optional storage hopper located
above the machine. Heavy contaminants are caught in a screen while the air wash transports lighter dust to the dust
collector.
Blast Machine: One (1) Blast Machine. Includes a 3.5 cu. ft. blast pot with 1-1/2” piping, 150 psi (10.3 bar) rated vessel with
90-degree cone bottom head, with pneumatic remote controls, Combo Valve, VBSII System, MV3, twin line control hose,

Deadman control, blast hose assembly and blast nozzle.
Dust Collection Module: One (1) dust collection cartridge filter module. Module includes:
• Four (4) cartridge filters with reverse pulse cleaning
• Dust recovery bin, intake louvers
• Exhaust fan and motor, 3phase, 230/460V, up to 4,000 CFM
• 3 pulsing air valves for cartridge filter cleaning
• Louvered Doors
Dust collection module as quoted, includes no explosion control, which may be required when used with potentially
combustible dust. Customer assumes responsibility for contacting their insurance underwriter and advising regarding
specific application requirements of explosion venting or if additional fire protection and safety equipment may be required.
Customer is also cautioned to adhere to prescribed OSHA, NFPA, Federal, State and Local codes and regulations
applicable to industrial ventilation systems, which apply dust collection equipment.
Control Panel: One (1) control panel shall be factory pre-wired and tested. Individual controls shall be sequentially
interlocked to ensure proper start-up of each piece of equipment.
